“Hi! My name is Luke Saunders and I am the founder of Rainbow Alignment.
Id love for you to get to know a little more about me, I hope that it will give you some insight into who I am and my reason why for launching Rainbow Alignment.
I was born in Melbourne, Australia. When I was a young boy, my family left Melbourne to travel around Australia, in a 32 foot bus, and finally settling on Kangaroo Island (a small island, off the coast of South Australia). It was through this up bringing that I gained a love of travel, adventure, an affinity to water or the ocean and a yearning to be connected with nature. Travel has been and will always be a part of my life, I live to experience new and exiting cultures, places and people.
I came out as gay as a young teenager, I felt like I was the “only gay in the village” in the small community on Kangaroo Island of less than 5000 people and the isolation of being on an island was overwhelming at times however it was the community that helped me become the person I am today. It was community that provided me the tools and resources to navigate my journey as a young adult. It was community that brought me through some of the darkest times in my life right up until this very moment of being. I am so grateful to have been surrounded by tribes of people that have loved and supported me through my journey of life. Community is something I’m very passionate about and is the reason why Rainbow Alignment is in existence today.
My work ethic started at an early age, I had my first job at 13 years old mowing the lawns and doing the gardening for a gentleman in my local neighbourhood. I have held jobs in retail as Barista, Waiter, Bar Attendant, Sandwich Artist and even Drag Queen before a career in Banking and Finance spanning 12 years. I have held roles across multiple finance institutions in Retail Operations and HR/Learning and Development. Im a qualified Massage Therapist, an NLP Practioner, Hypno Therapist, Coach and have launched Rainbow Alignment, a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider for the support of the queer community with focus on the destigmatisation of mental health and social inclusion for marginalised groups within this community. My life path has led me to this point so that I can serve and give back to the community, I am living a life of passion experiencing pure joy, bliss and abundance on a daily basis.
I am passionate about diversity, inclusion, human rights and have also volunteered for organisations such as Wear It Purple- Fosters supportive, safe and accepting environments for rainbow young people, Homosapiens- Human rights activist organisation that supports marginalised groups such as LGBTIQA+ community, Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, Disability and Migrants, Island Of Men- “Helping good men connect with other good men” a group that promotes healthy expression of emotion to promote good mental health for men.
As GLOBEs Events Director, My Team and I are responsible for planning and executing GLOBE Monthly Business Networking events as well as a range of Small Business focused events.
I love making terrariums, photography, spending time with friends and family, swimming with the local Glamourhead Sharks and experiencing different cultures through travel around the globe.
I’d love to be of service to you! Please do not hesitate to reach out and experience Rainbow Alignment.”
